This is an original gouache painting entitled 'Peaceful Times'. These little boats provide the continuous thread of 'fishing from Porthleven' though it's a far cry from the days when the harbour was filled with much larger boats and their crews - and fishing was the main income for the village. It's a much more relaxed place now!
